現在Pandaanにある屋外円形劇場は地方文化の精神と景色を捉えた奥に望める火山のすばらしい背景のもと演じられる舞踊が輝かしい以前の物語を伝えます｡ジャワ東部は１９４５年に統治軍に対して独立を図るために奮闘したときの先導者であった事の名声を現在の歴史に要求しています｡
Majapahit帝国の栄光は寺院の破損や建造物の発見を除いては、ジャワ東部にはそれほど残っていません。しかしジャワ東部には寺院や美しく汚されていないビーチ、壮大な火山、高地でのすばらしい湖、色豊かな水庭園、保護された野生の動物など魅力的なスポットが多く点在します｡噴火口とそれを囲んだ湖のあるIjen高原のすばらしい景色があります｡牛追い祭りで有名なマドゥーラはジャワ東部地域の一部で、固有の伝統と言葉をもっています。
